Ayurvedic Lymphatic massage helps to clear the channels of circulation. Pizhichil is a procedure developed in Kerala, which gives the effects of both Snehana (oleation) and Swedana (fomentation). It is considered as one among the Keraliya Panchakarma Techniques. Medicated oil is poured onto the body in continuous streams while being gently massaged by therapists for 45 to 90 minutes.

The rice is cooked by boiling it in cow’s milk. This is a specialized treatment that consists of holding the prescribed medicated oil at a bearable temperature in a leather cap fitted around the head of the patient. The oil is filled in the cap up to a level of one finger above the crown of the head.
